Inspired by the unexpected success of 'Confessions', their first full length album of all original new material, the Swedish band Angeline now delivers the much anticipated follow-up 'Disconnected'.
Angeline looks back on a vivid band history of more than two decades. After the band's foundation back in 1987, when most of the boys were still in their teens, they played their first gigs together. In the years to come they recorded a couple of demo songs with original singer Jörgen 'Sigge' Sigvardsson and eventually released the Mini-LP 'Don't Settle For Second Best' (1990) and the CD Single 'Rain' (1994). Fate hit the band very hard when 'Sigge' passed away in 1995 due to complications caused by a bad heart condition he had to live with all his life. With guitar player Jocke Nilsson taking over the lead vocals the band played as a full blown cover band for several years. In 1997 they even recorded an album of cover versions, which was produced by Mats Lindfors (Europe, The Poodles, H.E.A.T.), who had already overseen the recordings of an unreleased 3-track demo a couple of years earlier. After a couple of line-up changes during the 90's and the bi-annual Family Day that was held since 1997 in memory of the late vocalist Jörgen 'Sigge' Sivardsson, it was in 2007 when the former members of Angeline decided to perform a one-off show on this special day to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the band. Much to their surprise they realised that a new generation of Angeline fans had grown. Based on this pleasant surprise the four began to write and record new songs which ultimately led to the release of 'Confessions' in the spring of 2010, their first full length album of all original new material in more than twenty years.
'Disconnected' now picks up where 'Confessions' left off and with only two albums under their belt the band has managed to create it's very own sound. It's a unique combination of Melodic Rock, a genre that was popular when Angeline first started out more than twenty years ago, with super catchy hooklines, multi layered harmonies in Harem Scarem fashion and a healthy dose of Modern Rock, which shows their wide range of influences from bands such as Daughtry, 3 Doors Down and the recent Bon Jovi albums and for good measure a bit of the retro hard rock sound ā la Airbourne and Bullet is added.
The album features a crisp and powerful production by the band's guitarist Jocke Nilsson and a state-of-the-art mastering by Björn Engelmann (Stage Dolls, Wig Wam, Within Temptation, Friestedt-Williams).
The band members are very proud of this rock solid record and they are looking forward to present their new songs as part of their energetic live shows.

Growing up in New England, Iain Ashley Hersey cut his teeth on the heavier British Rock Bands such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Bad Company and guitar players like Jeff Beck, Ritchie Blackmore, Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix. Certainly influenced by the voices from the past he's always strived to grow musically and develop his own style of which he has now most certainly carved out his own unique voice and signature. Later seeking to expand his musical vocabulary he studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston where he expanded his realm into that of Jazz improvisation, eventually though he returned to the fold of Rock 'n' Roll. 'Vintage Love'is the name of his brand new release, a compilation including the best of Iain's previous work.
Iain Ashley Hersey's first album was entitled 'Fallen Angel' and released on Avex in Japan in 1999 and on Frontiers Records in Europe two years later. For this record, he was joined by singers Dante Marchi ('Goin' Down And Dirty', 'Distant Memories'), Paul Shortino ('Hold On') and Mike Stone on the previously only in Japan available bonus track 'The Outcaste'. The latter two tracks were produced and mixed by Pat Regan (Rainbow, Gotthard, Deep Purple, Kiss, Doro), while Joe Seta handled the production duties on 'Goin' Down And Dirty' and 'Distant Memories'.
Iain's sophomore record 'The Holy Grail' was released in 2005 on Lion Music, it's the first album featuring Carsten Schulz (Evidence One) on vocals. Graham Bonnet (Rainbow, Alcatrazz, MSG), David Montgomery and Randy Williams completed the line-up of vocalists. According to Iain, this is the release which shows him finding his own voice, signature and style. Five tracks on 'Vintage Love' originate from this CD: 'Blood Of Kings' (Montgomery), 'Walking The Talk' and 'The Holy Grail' (Bonnet), 'Calling For The Moon' (Schulz) and 'Blink Of An Eye' (Williams). This time, the whole record was produced by Pat Regan and Iain and mixed by Pat Regan.
Released in 2008 on Perris Records, 'Nomad' is Iain Ashley Hersey's most recent studio album. This time singer Carsten Schulz can be heard on the majority of songs. The ones featured on 'Vintage Love' are: 'Voodoo Spirits', 'Sacrifice The Sun', 'Vintage Love' and 'When Will My Love Fade'. Former Rainbow singer Doogie White took over the lead vocals on the Rainbow cover song 'L.A. Connection', which also features Paul Logue (Eden's Curse) on bass. 'Vintage Love'is completed by an unreleased song called 'Red Head Rampage' which once again features Schulz on vocals.
This release will without a doubt appeal to fans of the aforementioned Classic Rock, Hard Rock and Melodic Rock bands, but also for lovers of Blues influenced Classic Rock artists such as Black Country Communion, Philip Sayce, Richie Kotzen and Joe Bonamassa, Iain Ashley Hersey has a lot to offer.

One day in the middle of the summer of 1997 the three long time friends and musicians Mikael Bohlin (Keyboards and guitars), Anders Rybank (keyboards, guitars and bass) and Markus Nordenberg (lead & background vocals) got together for a cup of coffee and developed the idea to record and produce songs that they had collected through the years but had not been able to put on tape. The strategy for their project was to record great songs with the best possible sound quality and without focussing on a specific musical style.
Since they all were songwriters and had different influences the musical combination turned out to become an exciting melting pot. As the years went by the idea started to grow to make something serious out of the recordings and eventually in 2003 they released their debut record 'Coastland Ride', a tasteful blend of AOR, Westcoast and Pop, on the German AOR Heaven label.
After releasing this CD, the band took a break for nearly six months before getting back together to record more material. Due to different circumstances it took nearly nine years before finishing the follow-up 'On Top Of The World'.
The result is an album that picks up the Coastland Ride trademarks from the debut while refining the bands sound with a top notch production. Each song has its unique style and the tunes come to life through catchy melodies and tasteful arrangements and the lyrics are just as important as the music. Their stories combine actual events and fiction and the listener is invited to reflect on the lyrical themes while he enjoys the music. To elevate the songs to an even higher level the band again invited outside musicians to the recordings. Street Talk and Lionville guitarist Sven Larsson for example can be heard on solo guitar on almost half of the songs on the brand new Coastland Ride release.
In the fall of 2011, the Swedish band and German record company Avenue Of Allies started a partnership resulting in the release of 'On Top Of The World' and a re-release of the self-titled Coastland Ride debut album. 'On Top Of The World' was recorded at various studios in Sweden, produced by Coastland Ride and mixed by the band together with Patrik Norman. Jonas Ekström was in charge for the mastering of the new CD as well as for the remastering of 'Coastland Ride'. In addition to a significantly improved sound, the re-issue of the band's debut also includes three bonus tracks in the form of the unreleased songs 'Jenny's Heart', 'The World Is Not Enough' and 'Pitch Black Ride' from the original recording sessions.
With two albums just to be released Coastland Ride now will be focussing on bringing more new material to the table. And the band has promised that it will surely not take nine more years before the recording of a third album is finished.
