The Essential Series - 2017 Pomp Rock (Volume 1) by Gdazegod
This is our first volume in this series, you can be assured there will be volumes to follow as there are many Pomp related albums to cover off.

Zon - 1978 Astral Projector
This is the debut album by the much loved Canadian outfit Zon. Described to me previously as a 'fairies and wizards' band, this was an obvious humorous jest at their pompous and overblown sound.

Zon - 1979 Back Down To Earth
This one is a case of the second album blues, sort of 'honeymoon is over' period for the band. Sure, there are some overblown pompous moments here, but not as much as 'Astral Projector'. Most of the songs are straight ahead period hard rock. By and large it's less of the pomp and circumstance this time around.

Zon - 1980 I'm Worried About The Boys
'I'm Worried About The Boys' was released for the independent Falcon label as their third album. It's very difficult to track down, but worth the effort.

Zon - 2003 Interview with Denton Young and Howard Helm
As a prelude to the new release of the new 2CD album from Escape Music during 2003, here is our interview with two of the band's leading lights, Denton Young and Howard Helm, about the new CD and more. Read on..
