Pure Prairie League - 1979 Can't Hold Back
With a few exceptions I'm not a big country rock guy and when it comes down to Vince Gill's solo career or his marriage to former CCM babe Amy Grant, I couldn't give two hoots but this album earns my highest recommendation.

Pure Prairie League - 1980 Firin' Up
'Firin Up' divided fans of the bands earlier work and those who favoured the new melodic style, but the album was a fantastic effort regardless.

Pure Prairie League - 1981 Something In The Night
The Vince Gill years of the Pure Prairie League saw a resurgence that has been well covered here in reviews of their other two albums 'Can't Hold Back (1979)' and 'Firin' Up (1980)'. The third of the Gill triumvirate deserves a spot here as much as its predecessors however, another excellent slice of melodic styled country rock, leaning towards AOR
