Point Blank - 1979 Airplay
It's truly unfathomable how these guys never leapt into the same category as the stale likes of .38 Special, Molly Hatchet, ZZ Top etc. This is the band at their best and as great as their pair of AOR albums were in the early 80's, I'd have to choose this over either of those if asked.

Point Blank - 1980 The Hard Way
Point Blank appear to have been forgotten in the annals of boogie history, but their output rivals ZZ Top or Blackfoot any day of the week.

Point Blank - 1981 American Excess
Like all of Point Blank's albums this is about as faultless as possible, the AOR promise of which was fulfilled on the magnificent 'On A Roll' from 1982.

Point Blank - 1982 On A Roll
A Texan band with a deep history of southern rock 'n' blues since the late seventies. By the time 1982 rolled around, Point Blank were sounding anything but Texan, with fat keyboards and rollicking melodic rock influences hitting home.

Point Blank - 2002 Interview with Rusty Burns
Interview with guitarist and founder Rusty Burns - June 2002.

Point Blank - 2009 Fight On!
The latest 2009 album from Texan rockers Point Blank would have to go down as the contender for flying lowest on the 2009 hard rock radar.

The Essential Series - 2017 Southern Rock & Boogie (Volume 1) by Gdazegod
Having just completed an article whereby we wrote about a selection of West Coast classics, we turn our hand to Boogie. Yes, Southern Rock boogie.
