Beckett - 1991 Beckett
I think it would be easy for me to declare this Beckett solo album as one of the best albums of 1991, and that's lined up against some wonderful efforts released in that year.

Player - 1978 Danger Zone
'Danger Zone', Player's sophomore effort slipped into the 1978 stream of consciousness as easy as a Leon Spinks left hook! There was a point of difference though. The debut was quite a west coast, summery and happy sort of album. 'Danger Zone' however, goes in deep, the rockier and some would say near 'progressive' elements of the band came home to roost on this one.

Player - 1978 Player
One of AOR's quintessential acts, Player's debut seems to have flown under the radar over the duration of time, the album overshadowed by 'Baby Come Back's number one success that masked an accomplished effort.

Player - 1980 Room With A View
Player is a group that gets it's fair share of praise here at Glory-Daze and rightfully so-with top notch AOR platters that still sound as vibrant and fresh as they did when released in the late 70's, early 80's. 'Room With A View' was a combination of soft, romantic melodies of the debut and heavier rock tunes from their previous release 'Danger Zone'.

Player - 1981 Spies Of Life
Peter Beckett continued with a revised lineup and Player recorded what many consider their finest record - 'Spies Of Life'.

Player - 1996 Lost In Reality
This album was originally known as 'Electric Shadow' and released in 1995 outside of the US, where this type of music was nothing short of extinct. That said, this is hardly an aggressive AOR album, more of a light pop affair made for light rock radio stations.

Player - 1998 Best Of
Although all of Players albums are now available on CD, this fifteen track compilation was the first time many of their songs were heard on the format.

Player - 2012 My Addiction [ep]
The return of GDAZE favourites Player, as they release a promotional EP ahead of their forthcoming new album.

Player - 2013 Too Many Reasons
Despite being far from Player's best this still has enough moments to warrant a listen.
