Some lucky Jeff Lynne fan got a real rarity!

Yep in Argent, especially as Rod Argent and Jim we’re cousins.

Didn't Rodford also play in Argent and Charlie too?

Jim Rodford, bass player, The Kinks, Phoenix (I think?), but I remember him with The Zombies, saw live a while back. RIP

Fannon, John - 2013 Saved All The Pieces
'Saved All The Pieces' marks a very welcome return to the music scene of John Fannon, one time vocalist/songwriter of the much missed and undervalued AOR band New England.

Gardner, Hirsh - 2003 Wasteland For Broken Hearts
Hirsh has gathered together a collection of tunes which showcases his musical styles away from New England, but in saying that, there is still a hint of influence from that great band which would be too hard to ignore!

Gardner, Hirsh - 2017 My Brain Needs A Holiday
Anyone who has a passing interest in Glory Daze Music, knows that I adore New England, so in lieu of any new material from said band what better than a solo album from one of the guys? Hirsh Gardner.

New England - 1979 New England
An excellent AOR band from Boston, who came out of nowhere during 1979, to release a widely distributed album on the MCA subsidiary Infinity.

New England - 1980 Explorer Suite
Following up their classic debut must have been daunting, but this is a very strong second effort, regarded by some scribes as their finest moment.

New England - 1981 Walkin' Wild
An excellent AOR band from Boston, who came out of nowhere during 1979, to release a widely distributed album on the MCA subsidiary Infinity, subsequently releasing a pair of pomp classics over the next two years.

New England - 2003 Greatest Hits Live
This CD looks as if it dates back to 1980 too, and was recorded on tour in San Francisco. It includes many songs taken from the 19729 debut, plus a handful from the sophomore effort 'Explorer Suite'.

New England - 2015 I Know There's Something Here [single]
This is a most welcome return for one of the leading lights of the rock scene of those heady (Glory) days of the late 70's early 80's.

New England - 2016 Live At The Regent Theater
This album is a stunning display from a band that arguably helped write the rule book when it comes to melodic hard rock. Quite, quite brilliant.

New England - 2017 Live at The Spire, Bull Run
A keen fan, GDM's Malcolm Smith took a quick trip over the transatlantic pond to see his favourite band perform two gigs on the weekend. The things we do..

New England and John Fannon - 2013 Live (Gig Review)
Here's a live gig review of John Fannon's solo gig plus the New England reunion held over the weekend of June 22 and 23, 2013.

The Essential Series - 2017 Pomp Rock (Volume 1) by Gdazegod
This is our first volume in this series, you can be assured there will be volumes to follow as there are many Pomp related albums to cover off.
