Magic Dance - Still Haunting Me
This is really nice. Getting a bit of coverage in the Facebook world.
Magic Dance, the project of Jon Siejka, who resides in New York City.

I have listened to almost all of this guy's songs on Youtube over the past few months. Some nice ideas and melodies for sure but I'm feeling he is going to miss the train for something bigger if he doesn't revise some of his decisions any time soon.

The material cries out for a proper production. Homemade recordings are what they are: They are home recordings for private usage that definitely help a lot the musicians to form a basic structure of songs and arrangements. In my opinion, this stuff is not ready to be published (or even worse to be officially released). Nevertheless, from what I've seen, it's already being sold both in physical and digital format, as well as it is uploaded to all major streaming sites.

Jon could do a lot worse than find a full-piece band that know their individual instruments and get in the studio to do some proper recording sessions to support his own excellent ideas. The structure of the songs already exists and it's good but t would be a big shame if it stays in such state - demo-ish and amateurish. The rhythm section is literally non-existent. Bass and drums sound like they are programmed and remind me of those of 'Wild rose'.
I believe he just signed with Frontiers, I saw an article on Melodicrock the other day...

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the signing of Magic Dance.

MAGIC DANCE is the solo project of singer/songwriter Jon Siejka, formed in Long Island, NY in 2012. A self-taught musician and producer, his debut EP, 'Another World' was released in May 2013. 'The Mirror of Dreams' and 'Kiss Scene' EP followed, all heavily influenced by the iconic synth-pop and movie soundtrack music of the 1980s.

His 2015 release, 'Haunting Me' EP marked an evolution in his sound, featuring guitar-heavy cuts like 'Still Haunting Me' and 'I Wanna Know'. His newest record, 'Vanishings' is an even larger statement of that evolution, combining '80s influenced AOR, pop rock, and synth-pop to create a sound uniquely his own.

In 2017, Jon will commence work on what will be his debut album for Frontiers, scheduled for release in 2018.

Jon says: 'I can't imagine a better home for my music than Frontiers. They are the perfect label to release my upcoming album and solidify the direction in style I've been heading in over the last few releases. I am very excited about this new record and can't wait to share my new music with you all!,

What a coincidence?! I was watching youtube videos and one of this guy's songs came up as suggested as I had previously listened to it.

Thanks for the update guys.

I just hope he releases a proper album with full band and production as well as he re-records his best songs to date. If Frontiers signed him to just distribute and promote yet another self-released album, then it's going to be a waste.
If Frontiers releases material equivalent to his demos, then this will spell trouble.
