This is the 1981 album from Brian Beverly, who sings and plays a few instruments on this one-off effort. Looking like he just stepped out of high school, his young looks might be deceiving, but he did actually work with studio hound Steve Berlin to produce 'Eleven It Ends'.

The Songs
The songs here are punchy power-pop rockers nicely pigeon-holed for the early 80's era. In saying that, it does have a harder edge and a fast-paced tempo generally. As a good example, 'We Want You' with its chugging guitar work and near manic delivery. It's quite good though. So too the pairing of 'Ashamed' and the aptly titled 'Run Run Run'. The two tracks which take the foot off the throttle are the second track 'It's Here For You' and 'I'm Not Your Only Friend', while the title-track 'Eleven It Ends' with its 'tick-tock tick tock' in the vocal is rather catchy.

In Summary
Beverly wrote all the material here, excluding one which he co-wrote with drummer Gary Ferguson (Gary Moore, Channel). Guitarist Marty Walsh also has an extensive studio career, he also went on to Supertramp and played on the fantastic Keven Jordan album 'No Sign Of Rain'. If you like power-pop with a buoyant side, and also with a harder than average delivery, then this is one LP to track down. It's in the GDM Nextcloud so check it out.

Brian seemed to have been a pretty good SSW, having penned the all but one song. Fiery power pop rock is the order of the day. ‘Wine Bottle, Candle and Cork’ & ‘We Want You’ drive away with urgency as do most songs on this fast-paced platter. There’s solid sax & drum action as well as some killer guitar riffing on ‘Till I Changed’. Employing the talents of Steve Berlin made a difference as well.
