WEBLINKS: | State Cows CB Baby Page

With two albums under their belt, Swedes State Cows (anagram for West Coast) are back with a new selection of material in 2017. In fact, if you've kept up with the band, they have released other stuff beyond the two CD's they released on Avenue Of Allies. The 'Second Seconds' set for example, was another four-track EP which wasn't able to be slotted onto their second album 'Two'. Here, the duo of Andersson and Olofsson deliver another slinky set of west coast, assured to please fans of that much loved El-Lay sound from the mid-late 70's.

The Songs
The EP contains four tracks, originally just three tracks were released at the time, while the fourth 'Scofflaws' was released in demo form. The State Cows sound is aimed squarely at fans of Steely Dan, especially the first two tracks: 'Stuck On A Train' and 'Holly Mole'. The title track 'Stealing The Show' cruises into town in a hot convertible, rhodes keyboards and a Doobie Brothers styled arrangement is enough to break out the night time cocktails. The aforementioned 'Scofflaws' retains the funky and rhythmic element of Steely Dan; jazzy piano, 70's groove and high-riding syn ths over the top.

In Summary
As mentioned, you can pick this up on CD Baby, and considering they are a band currently unsigned, then we should be doing everything we can to support them. Super stuff.
