Yep in Argent, especially as Rod Argent and Jim we’re cousins.

Didn't Rodford also play in Argent and Charlie too?

These guys are a relatively new band coming out of Dallas Texas. This lot came into being during 2014, more as a studio project for lead singer Wayne Brito, but have since become a full-blown live entity with gigs around the Dallas area earlier on this year. Now with a full album due out in early 2017, Three Lane Road give us a prelude to that by releasing a 6 track EP ahead of time.

The Songs
The quartet operate at the harder end of the melodic rock spectrum. Bands like Skid Row, Dokken, Bon Jovi and Tesla all seem to emanate out of the grooves that this band generates. The production is pretty damn good, and showcases what this band has to offer. 'I Want' leads off, with big guitar riffs, up-tempo drum work and stirring lead and chorus vocals. 'I'll Fly With You' has Brito squaring up to Jon Bon Jovi in the vocals, while the guitars blaze away to good effect. 'Strange Way' is a tough sounded rocker, while you gotta love the galloping nature of 'Time Of Our Lives', where Brito sings about living like there's no tomorrow. A good bit of advice if ever I've heard. 'Dreams' and 'Lift Me Up' both operate as energetic rockers, and give us a good idea what to expect when the full CD is out.

In Summary
Produced by Alex Gerst, who has worked with My Beautiful Disaster and Flickerstick, the Three Lane Road EP is designed to introduce the band to the melodic rock industry right across the world, in preparation for their debut CD release, which should come out sometime in either February or March 2017. So look out for that.
