This lady from Manhattan NY attracted a whole lot of interest with her October 2015 debut. She even managed to recruit a stellar cast to perform on 'Now You Know'. Billy Sheehan produces the album, while the other contributors are well known from bands such as Korn, Guns N Roses, Steel Panther and Stuck Mojo. She was discovered on Clear Channel's iHeartRadio New Discovered and Uncovered Artist chart, and from there, accumulated credits both in a live capacity plus a songwriting capacity. When I first caught an ear of this album, I was immediately reminded of Polish Gothic metallers Unsun, though with the sheer weight of music on the CD, many other reminders of other artists cropped up too, such as Halestorm and Hydrogyn.

The Songs
With fourteen tracks, 'Now You Know' is a variable set, but keeps within the confines of glam metal. The overall sound is robust, and doesn't lighten off at any stage. With two hot guitar players in Ron Thal and Russ Parrish in tow, this is an absolute guarantee. Highlights include the opening salvo of 'Monster', the hot riffer 'After 2am', the blunderbuss metal of 'Something Better (Now You Know)' and a bit of old school rock with 'Sacrifice'. There are change up moments too - particularly when the tempo changes kick in. Mid-tempo rockers plus a couple of angst-driven ballads indicates the excellent level of songwriting involved.

In Summary
However, not all songs resonated with me, but that's to be expected with so many songs onboard. Is she the Lady Gaga of the metal scene? Certainly there is a lot of marketing involved with MM, and you have to take every opportunity while you can right? Glam metal meets modern pop/rock in 2015. Yep, this is it! [word count 311]
