Yep in Argent, especially as Rod Argent and Jim we’re cousins.

21-01-2018 07:43
Didn't Rodford also play in Argent and Charlie too?

Jim Rodford, bass player, The Kinks, Phoenix (I think?), but I remember him with The Zombies, saw live a while back. RIP

Miss Behaviour were a Swedish band we wrote a few articles about back in the day. They are still a going concern, and sound great too, judging by the songs on their latest offering 'Double Agent'. I've had this album playing regularly on my playlist since its release mid year 2014, and like many albums from that time, are only now starting to find the light of day on GDM. I'm in a bit of a rush now to get these all online, considering 2015 is just around the corner! I remember first listening to this, and having a hard think about whether I liked it or not. Well after a period of time, I can reassure everyone that it gets the thumbs up for the majority of songs, and that the band's reputation is safely held, after 2011's wondrous 'Last Woman Standing'.

The Songs
'On With The Show' is about as AOR as you can get. Killer synths and guitars from heaven. A fast pace and a pumping rhythm section. Oh yes. The synth attack continues on the title track, it's like H.E.A.T without the pizazz! Coming back to mid-tempo territory, 'Cold Response' is like Houston meeting Sapphire Eyes on AOR Boulevard. MB decide to visit the halls of Def Leppard with 'Magical Feeling', though it's not as overly Lepp as what Grand Design do. 'Corporation Arms' is a reasonable tune but the lyrics and message is a bit weird, what's going on here? So too the unusual strains of 'Midnight Runner', but elsewhere 'Edge Of The World', 'Don't Let it End', and the excellent pairing of 'The Cause Of Liberty' and 'Dancing With Danger' come off the bench and prove invaluable support to an album that was just about to lose its way.

In Summary
For twelve songs, I'd say about three-quarters get a pass mark. A reasonable return on investment. This is a band that is squarely in the AOR camp, there's no cross-over into other genres which marks the origins of MB's personnel with previous bands. Mostly, you will get glossy and meat-filled hard rock. Sort of like glazed marinade pork chops with a green side salad instead of starchy potatoes. Another great release from Mr Siegl and AOR Heaven.

3rd instalment and a very strong, contemporary melodic rock album, with some fine songs and a great production.
