We've reviewed just about every Asia album going. Not all, but many. I've added this latest live CD from their 2010 High Voltage gig in the UK. Now to be honest, the band have recorded so many live albums, one would ask, why would they bother? Just consider it similar as to taking photos of a certain time or place. Live recordings have that same prestige, and in this case, Asia have recorded for the first time, their entire 1982 album for a live recording, with the original members of the band. The original LP had nine tracks, so there's an extra two tracks bolted on ('An Extraordinary Life' and 'I Believe').

The Songs
From a musical and sonic listening experience, the material here on 'High Voltage' won't set speakers alight. In fact, the overall performance isn't one of the best I've heard from the band, but you can put this down to the advancement of time. Still, it's not everyday you hear tracks like 'Time Again', 'Sole Survivor', 'Wildest Dreams' and 'Here Comes The Feeling' in one setting. The good thing with this CD, is that it is also a DVD, the same tracks used. You can buy either a variety of different formats.

In Summary
I doubt that general listeners will flock to this, though Asia collectors and hard-core fans will pounce on it with gusto.
