I'm not sure who out there labelled this album as AOR. Either their ears are totally out of whack, or someone has sold them an artist that bears no resemblance to the hard rock genres. Whatever the case, from a melodic rock perspective, this isn't very good I'm afraid. This would have to be some of the weakest material I've heard in 2014, and with a slew of excellent stuff out there, one maybe asking why I'm reviewing such lesser material? Easy, to ensure punters are not sold a donkey if they are thinking of acquiring this album.

The Songs
Vinicio is in fact Italian musician Vinny Perinotto. This came out on a private pressing CD in 2003, and was recently re-released as a digital offering by DeFox Records. I'm not quite sure why they bothered. This sounds as if it's been mixed in the back bedroom. The drum machines are terrible, if there's a bass, I can't hear it, and the songs miss the mark by a long long way. Perhaps the Italian and Russian markets might understand what this album is all about, the rest of the world will be none the wiser. Is there a highlight? Not from where I'm sitting, so I'm not even going to review any of the songs.

In Summary
Even if 'Vinicio' was marketed as a middle of the road album, it would be a hard sell. I don't want to discourage Mr Vinicio, but really mate, the soft ballad approach across the entire album does not make it a melodic rock/AOR album. Avoid.
