Daddy Warbucks - try this on Youtube and download it using Torch browser - it will strip the audio out - let it down the MP4 video and then it will download the audio as aac.

Here's a 6-track EP that has caused a few heart palpitations among the West Coast/AOR brigade. It features Belgian singer Vince Cardillo, and his 'First Step' EP from 1993. Now I'll admit to knowing next to nothing about this Gentleman, but he's sure left us with something pretty special if the wimphem style of AOR is your bag. I read somewhere that he was previously a lead singer in a melodic metal band back in the 80's called Stealer (how many intelligent band members around the globe have named their band as such over the years?), but this EP is a different bag altogether. Released on the ESIS label (which means European Sales Import Services.. say what? Was this a precursor to the EU?), we are still left in the dark and Internet searches reveal F*** all about the bloke. However, if your brand of wimphem includes a corral of Ralph Van Maanen, Kevin Jordan, O'Ryan, Rod McInnes or Chris Irvine, then Vince Cardillo should set your heart racing.

The Songs
There's only six songs here, and all of them are sublime. It's medium to fast paced AOR with a hi-tech element which sounds better suited to the mid 80's era than the 90's. But seeing as we are none the wiser about Mr Cardillo, it could very well be that these songs were recorded earlier than they were released. I'm pretty certain our Japanese friends will go ga-ga over this EP, if the opener 'Step Back' is anything to go by. It sets the scene. Big cinematic keyboards announce 'Brand New Love', a by-product of the over-produced 80's by the sound of it, while 'I Think I Love Her' is bit more organic in nature, a close reference point would O'Ryan, a la Mervyn Spence. 'Since U Broke (My Heart)' is a dance-oriented slab of hi-tech AOR/pop, whereas 'The Land Of Unbelief' is unabashed ballad material. The best is left till last however, with the fantastic 'In The Air' leaving us with a lush three minutes of brilliance.

In Summary
That's it. Brief as can be. I don't have anything else to add, but to say, go out and find it. A brilliant find, and hopefully this is not a one-off effort from Mr Cardillo. Please release some more stuff my Belgian friend!
