Background
2008 was the start of a love affair with Swedish band H.E.A.T. Their debut album was one of the highlights of that year, and easily made the top 20 of the decade for me. While everyone was still agog the following year, the band consolidated their credentials with a solid round of live gigs, and in 2010 they give us a prelude of things to come with a three-track EP titled 'Beg Beg Beg'. Come April or May I'm sure that will be pretty much on the cards, as that's when H.E.A.T's new album will be released. So let's take a brief look at this E.P and see what Kenny and the boyz have delivered.

The Songs
According to the band's website, only the title track 'Beg Beg Beg' will make it to the new album (Euro release), though the others may (guessing here) make it on other territory versions. The opener is a high flying rocker with an insistent chorus (obviously) and some Giant like riffing through the middle. 'Tonight' is very reminiscent in style of the debut's material, smooth keys, huge wall of vocals and razor guitar work. Beautiful stuff. The third leg of the treble 'Living In A Memory' is typical of the H.E.A.T recipe and features a gorgeous chorus among other things.

In Summary
The EP has been issued as part of the February 2010 issue of Sweden Rock magazine, and is a great entree of things to come. Bring it on!

I've already heard the 3 tracks on youtube and I like them a lot! I believe that the band have changed their style a bit which doesn't bother me at all while I hear a lot of EUROPE ingredients to their new tracks! Seems that they are ready to reveal their major influence at their upcoming album.Great! The first track could be an 'answer'to Whitesnake's 'Guilty Of Love' while the other 2 are typical classy AOR affairs! Can't wait for the whole album!

I saw these on YouTube too - more great stuff. I hope all three tracks make it onto the album or otherwise become available.
