OK, all the YouTube videos are working again. Just use the YT link, and then encase in tags [ youtube] at the start, [/ youtube] at the end. Cool. Thumbs Up

Slow week for me, it's been all horse racing in Australia this week, with the Melbourne Cup meeting over four days. Back to GDM on the weekend.

Better to see Notts County top of that particular pile! It's been a long time coming!

Best Of 2007 - 2007 Jeff Duran
A summary of 2007 from Jeff Duran.

Albums Of The Year

This Was Difficult ...A year that did not include a heck of a lot of singers imho.

Lynn Allen - The Horse They Road In OnBilly & the boys return with a very enjoyable collection of party anthems and solid AOR corkers.

Scorpions - Humanity Hour I
Not just for longevity, but for the sheer fact they continue to try new ideas without abandoning they're knack for writing excellent songs.

Sixx A.M. - Heroin Diaries Soundtrack
Ambitious effort with Nikki Sixx keeping rock and roll alive by his past (literally), while still being inspired and relevant in todays marred modern rock waters.

Ozzy Osbourne - Black RainThis makes the list because of the song 'I Don't Wanna Stop'. The Anthem for last year imo. Better than anything they young punks are doing and I know thats not saying much.

W.A.S.P. - Dominator
Blackie is back with yet another consistent pugnacious platter. No surprises musically, just another sonic blast of brutality from the Lawless one.

C.C. Rock - EP
Only six songs here, but each a feast to the ears indeed.

Great White - Back To The Rhythm
It was an attempt to get 'back' on track after some major personal and professional setbacks. For that it makes my list.

Paramore - Riot!
For some reason I dig these young pop/punkers. Cute lead singer Hailey Williams makes Paramore easy on the eyes and ears.

Saga - 10,000 Days
A fine record. Great way to close the door on another chapter of this legendary group.

Stryper - Roxx Regime Demos
Even though this was officially released in the Summer of 2007, this Maybe cheating a bit- since these were demos from the yellow and black attack's beginnings in 1983. Shows how much I was into the music of 2007 when I would rather hear Stryper demos than the majority of what came out.

Honorable Mentions
Ted Poley - Smile
Melee - Devil's & Angels
Avenged Sevenfold - S/T
Pride Of Lions - Roaring Of Dreams

Disappointments:

Jaded Heart - Sinister Mind
Proving Boorman's departure was the worst thing that could of happened to these once promising melodic rock masters.

Loverboy - Just Getting Started
Trying to 'break new ground' and compete with today's bands made this even more pathetic. Absolute rubbish.

Crashdiet - The Unattractive Revolution
Dave Lepard's passing should have prompted this once excellent glam band to change their name and preserve the legacy of 'Rest In Sleaze' (which was the greatest album since anything released by Big Bang Babies or Alleycat Scratch). Even Mick Mars contributions can't save this stinker.
