Kelv is a genius and responsible for sunset strip glam scene of the mid 80's. It was an honor getting him on my show-He was greatclap. Upcoming guests include: Mark Mangold (Touch, Drive She Said)! Thanks very much for doing these Jeff. I did ask Kelv beforehand if it was ok to put these up - considering he is doing some stuff for us now. You are the man! Thumbs Up

What Jeff states so far as Kelv being responsible for the Hollywood Strip Scene in the 80s isn't an exagerration. Without Kelv's enthusiasm for the genre and through the written word many of these bands would have remained unheard of outside L.A. and an awful lot of bands owe this guy big-time for their careers. Poison included. Kelv actually had more of an idea as to what Poison should be than the individuals in the band. Bad move taking the make-up off boys!
As for the incident that Kelv details with Warrant, we got a lot of shit from a rather drunk band and crew for daring to enter the bar they were in (accompanied by other journalists and two representatives from the record company) where they were watching some stupid boxing match. Bearing in mind we were actually in Charlotte to interview them and see the show with Poison headlining, they didn't like the fact that we were dressed better than they were so started calling us posers and making it known that we were not welcome to drink in the same bar as them. F**k that! Kelv just phoned up Sugarcreek's manager Dave Fisher and we went elsewhere to hang out with him and some girls he knew. At some point I vaguely recall that these girls took us round to Firehouse singer C.J. Snare's house, but he was asleep.
Yeah, Erik Turner didn't exactly endear himself to us on that trip.
