Dustsucker - 2001 Hookers Planet

Max Farmer - vocals, guitars
Nadine Langenbach - bass
Marco Piermattei - drums

No, Dustsucker is not a new brand of vacuum cleaner, but a heavy rock band from Germany. To be brutally honest, when I first saw the logo and the name of the album I braced myself for an extreme metal onslaught. Then I nearly fell on the floor laughing while reading some of the lyrics. For instance:

The Songs
'Well I'm just the same dirty slave like you, I'm gonna sell my rotten body to another ghoul'. It gets better; 'I feel like broken glass, the A Bomb in my ass'. Finally, after gaining control, I put it in the cd player and.. It's actually not that bad. While the lyrics are probably the worst I've ever heard, the music is aggressive, blues based metal mixing Motorhead and The Almighty like riffs. The lifeblood of Dustsucker is guitarist and vocalist Max Farmer. Vocally Max in not far from Ricky Warwick of The Almighty. He's also a fairly decent six stringer and could probably branch out a little more.

In Summary
I'm not likely to play this very often, and apart from the lame lyrics these guys (and girl) are a tight unit and perform their style of rock 'n' roll pretty well.
